There's an original Zentangle, SEZ, but because of the regularity of this candle holder pattern, I thought there might be another tangle in it. I didn't really study it, nor did I take the picture then, just remembered the curly parts.
While sitting at the hospital, I began playing with it, but I remembered it as an S instead of individual curls. So here is SUBRA, named from me(Susan) and Debra (the secretary).
I'd probably consider this a tangelation, not really a new tangle, but it was fun doing this one and I see lots of possibilities for changes. My thought was to connect the S at the edge and then put the S in the next row between the S's above it. It's fun to draw 'cause you have to focus on getting those S curves to hit correctly. I added a diamond between S's to follow the curves (I guess that means it's not really a diamond.)
