Easter thoughts

Easter morning dawned bright and cloudy but was happy to hear "He's Risen!". This verse seemed to pop out at me to start a new week.  May you feel the gift of confidence and a fresh heart today!

I love sketchbooks

I have too many sketchbooks! My latest has a black cloth hardback cover and for some reason, seems to want meaningful (to me) scripture in it. So here's one of the first

Lots of tangles but not much time to post

Been spending alot of time at the hospital and doing a lot of tangles, which eventually, I will post here. I think I've finished two of my 9 tile puzzle pieces. But on Monday, as I was walking through the principals reception area, I saw this candle holder.

There's an original Zentangle, SEZ, but because of the regularity of this candle holder pattern, I thought there might be another tangle in it. I didn't really study it, nor did I take the picture then, just remembered the curly parts.

While sitting at the hospital, I began playing with it, but I remembered it as an S instead of individual curls. So here is SUBRA, named from me(Susan) and Debra (the secretary).

I'd probably consider this a tangelation, not really a new tangle, but it was fun doing this one and I see lots of possibilities for changes. My thought was to connect the S at the edge and then put the S in the next row between the S's above it. It's fun to draw 'cause you have to focus on getting those S curves to hit correctly. I added a diamond between S's to follow the curves (I guess that means it's not really a diamond.)
