Flying to Tampa

Since you have to turn off your 'electronic devices', I opened up the sketchbook and decided to draw. Not a lot of zentangle in this one but I've been having fun sneaking in a cat or bird in my strangle little scenes. Hope to add another couple of tangles on black while at the woodturners convention.  This is sepia #1 pen without any shading.

Busy fun week

Last week was ATPI workshop in Allen. If anything is inspirational, it's hanging out with friends, having fun and learning. And, being in the awesome Allen high school.

So this week was about learning more and DOING! So I went to the Keller senior center and learned how to make a deco mesh wreath, painted a lighthouse, read a book, made some silly animals and basically relaxed. Here's pics of some of the activity.

End of school year

Another year has come and gone. This year went faster than others, and like its said, they just keep going faster every year. Not quite done with this tangle, going to add color and more shading but wanted to document where it was before I add color. Some times I think I ruin them with color.

For Audrey

Here is the zentangle I made for Audrey. Audrey has been my student for 2 years. Last year in graphic design and photography, and this year in my advanced class. Audrey is a quadriplegic.  She works twice as hard as any student in my class and is always willing to try. She loves Pinterest and is working on publishing her creations to her Wordpress site.

One thing I've learned working with Audrey, is she is intelligent, creative and loves to have fun. But, without an aide or someone to assist her in staying current in technology, she will languish, probably at home, loosing all the abilities she has worked so hard to master.

Here's to Audrey and the pray someone becomes her advocate and encourages her continued growth.
