How to do my tangles

Jredzl:

This tangle was inspired by pretzels. I'm trying to find letters that I can teach to my granddaughter that can be tangles but this J just kept turning into a pretzel and ended up being a jredzl. Similar to a celtic knot, but not. I will add the tile I'm working on with the jredzl pattern this afternoon or tomorrow:)

Quik Angels:
This tangle was inspired by an app on my iPad called QuikSketch. To me, this looks like a quick angel. Sometimes, I need a quick angel in my life.
Start out with a VERY loose, squiggly circle. Making quick, erratic strokes, not necessarily touching the circle, make angel wings.

The shading on the iPad came at the outside of the strokes. (See example included. The original inspiration is in the top left of the picture on the right)

To the left is a tile with several variations of Quik Angels. The original Quik Angels pattern is used as a border. The other areas created by the string vary the size and perfected circle attributes. They kind of look like some insect.

Aaazzz's and how to do it.
This is a tough pattern.
  1. Make an A (any size, any font, serif or sans serif)
  2. Make another A with the top of the 2nd A touching the bar of the first A.
This pattern makes a great texture. It could be made with a stroke on the outside and the triangle filled, cursive or graffitti style for many variations.

Here is an A with the A done in Aaazzz's.

Here are some sample Aaazzz's done with variations.
